Here’s a few examples of the artwork we’ve produced this week using our newly improved sketching skills, use of water colours and mixing. We attempted to replicate a famous example of Qunetin Blake’s work – The Enormous Crocodile.
Today we’ve been self-editing our English work. We looked at how to improve our work by checking that our sentences make sense, check and correct our spelling and punctuation before using thesauruses or the working wall to improve our vocabulary.
This is a fantastic skill to help improve our writing.
This morning, we’ve been looking at telling the time to the hour. The children were given a variety of times written on a card and then using a clock they had to make the time. This was recorded on an iPad.
As part of our daily Guided Resding, we looked at identifying and labelling features of a non-fiction text. The children were able to independently find and label general features such as the title, author, blurb, contents page and glossary before moving onto specific features of each page.
